Does the University of Arizona require letters of recommendation? ›

Do you require letters of reference? We do not require letters of reference for admission to the University of Arizona. However, they may be required if you are interested in applying to the Honors College.

I've decided not to attend the UA this semester and have dropped all of my classes. Is there anything else that I need to do? You are assured admission to the University of Arizona if you attended a regionally accredited high school and: Rank in the top 25% of your graduating class, OR. Have a 3.0 unweighted GPA through your sixth semester in the core competency requirements.

The acceptance rate at University of Arizona is 86.7%.

In other words, of 100 students who apply, 87 are admitted. This means the school is not selective. As long as you don't fall way below average, you'll likely get in.

*Applicants who have graduated from high school 1 year or more before enrolling at the University of Arizona and did not attend any higher education institutions after high school will be evaluated for admission based on their 8th semester unweighted core GPA.

Colleges do have the right to revoke an admission offer. This contingency is often written into the acceptance letter. Colleges take their admissions decisions seriously, though, and they try to avoid revoking acceptances at all costs.

To obtain your CatCard, bring the following items to the CatCard Office: A government or state issued photograph identification such as a driver's license, state identification card, or passport. A high school issued ID is not an acceptable form of identification. A completed and signed Terms and Conditions form.

Your Campus ID number is an identifying number that is unique to ASU. It is made up of nine digits with no hyphens. You should treat your Campus ID number as an important and confidential piece of information. The Campus ID number is computer generated at the time of application for admission to the university.

How do I get my University of Arizona transcript? ›

Transcript orders must be placed online or in person. The University of Arizona does not accept transcript orders via fax, mail, email, or phone. No transcript will be released if you have outstanding financial obligations to the university or if any restrictive holds have been placed on your student records.

Most departments typically ask for three letters of recommendation. Enter the contact information for your recommenders on the application. ASU then sends a request to your recommenders when you submit your application. You will be able to submit prompts to your recommenders (if needed) afterward.

A growing number of large public universities do not require a letter of recommendation from the school counselor. Arizona State University, Indiana University Bloomington, University of California system, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Florida fall into this category.

There is assured admission for Arizona residents who meet certain requirements: if they are an Arizona resident, attend a regionally accredited high school, rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating class, and have no course work deficiencies as prescribed by the Arizona Board of Regents.
